Terms and data processing agreement
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Service
These terms govern a Shopify merchant's use of Order Change Guard. The app detects shipping-relevant order changes, presents conflicts for human review, and performs only the tags and notifications enabled by the merchant. Installing or using the app accepts these terms and the Privacy notice.
Standard plan and billing
Order Change Guard is offered as one Standard plan at 19.99 USD every 30 days after a 14-day free trial. Plan selection, trial approval, billing, cancellation, and payment are handled by Shopify App Pricing. Shopify development stores remain free for partners and developers under Shopify's development-store rules.
Critical fulfillment holds
Where Shopify supports them, the app may place its own fulfillment holds on fulfillment orders affected by a critical protected-order change. A merchant administrator reviews the conflict and approves release in the embedded app. Order Change Guard re-verifies ownership and releases only the exact hold identifiers that the app recorded as its own; it does not release another app's or Shopify's hold.
Merchant responsibilities
The merchant controls its Shopify store and customer relationship, decides whether and how to act on an alert, provides lawful instructions and notices, keeps its Shopify accounts secure, and verifies fulfillment information before shipping. Order Change Guard is an exception aid and does not replace the merchant's fulfillment controls.
Data processing agreement
For customer personal data processed through the app, the merchant acts as controller or business and EMPLARIO LTD acts as processor or service provider, to the extent those roles apply. The merchant instructs EMPLARIO LTD to process the minimum data described in the Privacy notice solely to provide, secure, support, and legally operate Order Change Guard.
EMPLARIO LTD will apply the documented confidentiality, tenant isolation, encryption, retention, deletion, access logging, and incident-response controls; assist with Shopify privacy requests through the app's mandatory webhook and export paths; and not sell the data or use it for advertising. The merchant authorizes Shopify, Railway, and Resend for the limited processing described in the Privacy notice. The merchant can end these instructions by uninstalling the app, subject to required deletion and legal retention.
Availability and changes
The service may be interrupted for maintenance, platform incidents, or security work. EMPLARIO LTD may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change and will publish the current version at this URL. Material changes apply prospectively.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without limiting mandatory rights that apply to the merchant. Questions can be sent to sven-lapadus@web.de.
